Individual Potato Gratins

Makes 6

Ingredients:

  • 6 medium-sized potatoes
  • 250ml cream
  • 200g cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to season

Method:

  1. Switch on the oven to 180ºC.
  2. Rinse the potatoes in warm water.
  3. Finely slice the potatoes.
  4. Layer the potato slices into individual ramekins or small bowls, seasoning after each layer.
  5. Pour the cream into each ramekin until the potato slices are submerged.
  6. Grate the cheddar cheese and sprinkle it liberally over the top of each ramekin.
  7. Place the ramekins in the oven for about 30 minutes or until the potatoes are cooked through and the cheese is melted and golden.
