BBQ meatballs

Makes about 15 meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 250g beef
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp parsley
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

BBQ glaze:
  • 4 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp chutney
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp mustard


Method:
  1. Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan and sauté onion and garlic until softened. Allow to cool.
  2. Combine remaining meatball ingredients, season and mix well.
  3. Form into small balls and sauté in the remaining tablespoon of oil until just about through.
  4. Combine BBQ-sauce ingredients in a pot, bring to the boil and allow to cook for five minutes.
  5. Pour sauce over the meatballs in the pan and glaze over a high heat.
  6. Serve with a dip as a snack or make extra sauce and serve over mash with veg.
