Cottage Pie

You’ll love it because… it’s a family meal you can make ahead of time, batch-cook and freeze.

Serves 4-6

Ingredients:

  • 500g basic Savoury Mince recipe
  • 500g frozen veggies (corn, peas, etc)
  • 5 large potatoes
  • a drop of milk
  • a small blob of butter/margarine
  • salt and black pepper
Method:
  1. Mix the mince and veggies and place in an ovenproof serving dish.
  2. Peel the potatoes and place in a pot of boiling salted water, drain well. Add milk and butter, and mash and season well.
  3. Cover the mince with mashed potato and bake for 35 minutes at 180ºC, until nicely browned.
