Get the most out of your kitchen space
Having a small kitchen space can pose a lot of challenges. Try some of these great tips on how to organise your kitchen and get the most out of your space:

1. Hang, don’t stack. Instead of stacking pots and pans in cupboards or putting big spoons in an already full drawer, hang them. Buy small hooks for above the stove or underneath shelves and cabinets and hang as many items as possible without making it look cluttered.

2.The top of your fridge can be used as an additional storage area for things that you don’t use every day. Store small appliances and cooking supplies such as your oils and vinegars on a place mat. This is also a good place for large bowls and linens. Just be sure to dust every now and then.

3.Clear the counters of small appliances. Your counter space should only be used for appliances that you use every day (toaster, kettle). Other items should be stored away in your cabinets.

4. Because most of our time in the kitchen is spent at the sink, place it strategically where the view is most open – choose a spot under a window if you can.

5.Don't buy two when one will do. Whenever possible, buy items that have a double-function. A glass water jug looks beautiful when filled with flowers, and a set of classic white plates can adapt to casual or formal meals. Choose a salad-spinner with a bowl that also can be used for mixing, serving, and storage – less stuff requires less storage space.
