Bananas with marshmallows and chocolate

This is a fun one for the kids. Let them get their hands dirty with this sticky, but yummy budget dessert.



1. Using one banana per guest, and leaving the skin on, slice the banana lengthways.
2. Take a handful of pink and white marshmallows and cut them into thin strips. Push the marshmallow strips into the slit in the banana.
3. Cut small chunks from your favourite chocolate bar and push in alongside the marshmallow. Add finely chopped nuts if you like.
4. Push the banana closed as much as possible and wrap in foil.
5. Lower the braai grid over medium coals and put the bananas on for about five minutes until the marshmallows and chocolate have melted and the banana is soft enough to eat with a spoon.
