Surf and turf kebabs
Don't these put you in the mood for a summer braai with friends?
600g steak (we used fillet)
20 peeled and de-veined prawns (4 per person)
4 tbsp butter
3 cloves garlic
3 tbsp parsley
Juice of 1 lime
Salt and pepper
1. Cut the steak into cubes. Thread an equal amount of the steak cubes and prawns onto kebab sticks. Season with salt and pepper.
2. In a saucepan melt the butter and add garlic, remove from heat and add the parsley and lime juice.
3. Brush the kebabs generously with melted butter mixture and cook over hot coals for six to eight minutes until the steak is cooked according to your taste and the prawns have turned pink. You will need to turn the kebabs frequently while cooking.
4. Serve hot with remaining butter melted butter spooned over.
